Kathy McIntyre
Executive Director
Kathy is a former CPA and the Executive Director and co-founder of Fairchance, a 501C3. Kathy’s directorship includes events management, partner relations, and both personal empowerment training and needs remediation management. Kathy is the administrative head, overseeing all aspects of employers, volunteers, and donations.
Kathy was the former owner and director of the Peachtree Accounting Support Center in Manhattan for ten years. Kathy’s corporate tenure includes having been both a Controller and Consultant to organizations that have included the United Nations, U.S. Army, Planet Hollywood, Marriott Corporation and many other Fortune 500 companies. Kathy’s professional work additionally included forensic accounting, corporate sales and buy-outs and tax accounting.
Kathy was additionally the Editor of the Gateway News, a Denver regional publication. Subsequently, Kathy served as the Operational Director for the Colorado Career Project, an organization managing over 75 major career events including 100+ employer events at the Mile High Stadium and additional college venues. Kathy handled event planning and management, corporate finance, partner relations, and strategic marketing.
Karl Emmerich
Co-director
Karl is a Co-founder and Co-Director of Fairchance. Karl is involved in candidate consults, career services including resumes, and advocacy placement. Karl directs all aspects of grant writing, corporate requests, and financial contracts.
Karl graduated from Lake Forest College and continued to the University of Illinois College of Business to pursue his MBA. Karl was the former Owner of Equaeria, an Australian importation and retail firm. Karl was also the Marketing and Sales Director and Creating Director for Gateway News from 2007 to 2014. Karl became the President of The Colorado Career Project from 2014 to 2022, a career services and events firm with clients ranging from Verizon to the U.S. Secret Service.
Karl has worked as both a consultant and candidate recruiter for companies that have included Kroger, DEA, Allied Universal, Ball Aerospace, ECC, and numerous other hotels and casinos.
